We are playing on 12 snare-drums - some of them look like that:
Others however, look like they are a tom-tom - and that's exactly what they were - before rebuilding it to a snare-drum (which, of course happened in the inhouse factory).
Of course that's not unusual...
...unusual is that the drums have an unusual strong tonal character. We made this fascinating mixture of the elements
tone + snare sound = MELODYsnare
to our very own sound.
Question: 'How do I create this sound?'
Answer: 'Is of course not betrayed...'
(Only a little hint is permitted: It has to be something with the drum heads...)
And this "reconstruction" is of course also carried out manually!
